Can we affect our own health by changing our self perception? Does step one in any wellness routine start with loving ourselves? What if there is a way to improve health that doesn’t require a workout, a food scale or a yoga class? These were some of the questions that sprang up from working more than 20 years in the health and fitness profession.
Ya see, it always seemed odd to me that even women who would be considered “beautiful” by conventional standards still had this negative tape running in their heads saying that they were too ugly, too fat, too _______________ (you fill in the negative perception here). This made me wonder, "What is going on biochemically, and neurologically when we perceive ourselves negatively and vice versa?" And what if we could create a space for women to explore the many sided feminine in themselves, to improve overall wellness and to learn to love themselves naked.
This photo series was born out of that idea.
